
On January 7, 2025, the Padmoday Foundation distributed warm school uniforms to 1,250 students from poor, Dalit, and underprivileged families in community schools across Gouradah Municipality, Jhapa. The initiative aims to ensure that students can continue their education comfortably during the cold winter months.

The event witnessed significant participation, including Gouradah Municipal Chief Chhatrapati Subedi, Deputy Chief Jalvarsha Rajbansi, municipal employees, local public representatives, school teachers, parents, and students.

Speaking at the inaugural program, Dipendra Mahato, President of Padmoday Foundation, highlighted the foundation’s commitment to education and social inclusion. “Our main objective is to promote education and social inclusion. This program will provide more ease and encouragement in the education of children. Distribution of clothes during winter will help students in health and education,” said Mahato.
The principals of the participating schools lauded the foundation’s efforts and emphasized that such initiatives significantly benefit students. They encouraged the continuation of similar programs to further strengthen education in the region.

Padmoday Foundation has been actively involved in education, health, and social welfare services. This event was made possible with the support of philanthropists Ashok Khadka and Budhhi Thapa, whose contributions have consistently supported the foundation’s endeavors.
The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to carrying out similar projects in the future to enhance the overall development of society. This program is expected to positively impact the physical and mental well-being of students, enabling them to focus better on their studies and fostering a sense of inclusivity.
